I have to admit this was pretty poor: a preposterous plot full of dodgy hokery-pokery (or hokum-pokum, if you prefer), unbelievably long-winded (the whole thing could've fitted into a short story), and really amazingly dull, with a whole tanker-load of cardboard cutout characters, implausible plot 'twists', boring Ancient Egyptian mumbo-jumbo, boring Modern English spiritualist tripe ... you name it.  Avoid.
